Benjamin Hosig is originally from Enfield, CT and is a graduate of the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. He earned a BA in Arts Administration from Arizona State University and an MA in Arts Management from George Mason University. Benjamin’s experience in the field of non-profit administration and management includes positions as Education Coordinator for the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, Manager of Education and Community Engagement for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Manager of the Sheila C. Johnson Performing Arts Center, and most recently as Individual Giving Officer for the Tony Award-Winning Shakespeare Theatre Company.
Prior to his work in the field of non-profit arts administration and management, he enjoyed an extensive career as a tap dancer, educator, and choreographer. He has taught for The Hartford Conservatory, A.C.T. Magnet Arts High School and was a Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts Master Teaching and Presenting Artist. Ben had the privilege of working with Savion Glover as a dancer in his company and the honor of sharing the stage with tap dance and jazz legends Dr. Jimmy Slyde, Dr. Buster Brown, Dianne Walker, Brenda Bufalino, Wynton Marsalis, and the late Dave Brubeck.
Benjamin resides in Sterling, VA with his wife Enza, and two children Giancarlo and Stella.
