Held every summer since 1996, WGMU’s Summer Radio Camp consists of two, one-week sessions and is open to students in grades 6-12. Students gain basic on-air broadcasting skills by learning how to produce a live music show, commercials, and news announcements in Student Media’s Johnson Center production studios on the Fairfax campus. Students also get a behind-the-scenes look at commercial radio through a field trip to a local station. Click here for more information about WGMU Summer Radio Camp.
